Coronavirus cases in Turkey now total 2,433 – new information app to be created

Fahrettin Koca, Turkey’s Health Minister has announced that the number of people with coronavirus has increased by 561 making the total number of infected to 2,433 and a total number of 59 people dead.

Stating in the Daily Sabah he warned that “precautions bind us to life (and that numbers) cannot explain the grief of loss or anxiety. Let’s try to live with zero risks.”

Koca also said that “Turkey had imported medicine from China (which) was believed to help with the treatment of coronavirus patients, adding that the medication was already being administered to patients in intensive care.”

Although we are seeing a rising number of cases, many who have become infected have only suffered mild symptoms and have recovered.

In order to inform the public with data on the outbreak, Koca announced that Turkey will create a digital platform.

He added that the application would be made available for the public to easily obtain reliable information about the coronavirus pandemic by notifying the total number of patients, tests, deaths, intensive care patients and recoveries.
