Restrictions declared after the Presidential Cabinet Meeting Date: 30/11/2020

NOTE: As we have seen these restrictions can change very quickly and with little notice. Always refer to our Facebook group where we try and get the general information from the press before posting the official circulars sent to all provinces.

It is also important to note that some provinces may differ slightly and we will update as soon as we can.

The expected restrictions due to the ongoing rise in the number of coronavirus cases are as follows:

UPDATE: 9th December…Alcohol may not be served during the weekend curfew at any store.

From Friday evening at 9pm there will be a full curfew until 5am on Monday morning. These will continue until a new decision is made. During this time local grocery stores, greengrocers, butchers and dried nuts shops can operate between 10am and 5pm. You may only walk to your nearest store and cannot drive (except for people with disabilities). If you are over 65 or under 20, you will not be able to go out.

Bakeries and bread shops will be open to sell bakery and bread products only on Saturday and Sunday. Citizens (excluding 65 years old and under 20) can shop for bread at a bakery, provided it is within walking distance of their home and not driving distance (except for people with disabilities).

From Monday to Thursday there will be a curfew for everyone from 9pm to 5am.

Over 65’s may only go out on Monday through to Friday between the hours of 10am to 1pm.

Under 20’s may only go out on Monday and Friday between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.

Over 65’s and under 20’s may not use public transport.

Dog owners may meet the needs of their pets, however, you are limited to the front of your residence.

Restaurants may only provide a delivery/Pick-Up service from 10am to midnight.

During curfew, intercity travel will only be allowed under conditions deemed as compulsory, examples follow below:

Being discharged from hospital where they are treated and returning to their original residence.

The funeral of a spouse or first-degree relative (Funeral transfer -maximum 4 people)

Those attending exams announced by ÖSYM and other central exams (and a family member)

Those who want to return home after completing military service,

Released from penal execution institutions

Permission must be obtained from the Travel Permit Boards through application to the Governorships (Kaymakamlığı)

Intercity travels of citizens traveling by public transportation (planes, trains, etc) will also be allowed to travel as long as they can provide tickets, reservation codes or any relevant documentation.
